Alcohol and Drug Treatment
In 2002, as a result of the California voters passing Proposition 36, Service First began an Outpatient Alcohol and Drug Treatment Program. SFNC is contracted with San Joaquin County and the State Courts for provision of these services. Service First is a certified treatment program dedicated to helping those seeking recovery from alcohol and other drug dependencies. We provide outpatient programs to help people build a foundation in sobriety, while continuing to function in their day to day lives. These alcohol and drug treatment programs provide clients with a successful low cost drug and alcohol treatment program and works as an alternative sentencing program with the courts to keep our residents out of Jail.
Women’s Group Sessions
At our North Stockton location Women’s Group Sessions are offered. These sessions allow a safe environment for women to open up about sensitive or deeply personal issues without distractions. For these sessions we provide strong female role models as counselors and staff. The counselors at Service First understand the issues and experiences that typically impact women, such as self-esteem, body image, parenting, trauma and abuse. We create a solid support network with other women in the group who share similar struggles.
Our Motto –
A female’s distinctive: physiology, mental health issues, hormonal differences, spiritual concerns and as well as life circumstances may affect their experience in recovery. Treatment and recovery are most successful when these individualized needs are taken into account. Studies suggest higher success rates in women-only treatment programs as women are most likely to stay in treatment with a single-gender program.
